Description
Summary
The Credit Manager at Asher’s Chocolates oversees the credit granting process, including, but not limited to evaluating creditworthiness, setting credit limits, developing strategies to minimize credit risk, and managing accounts receivable. They also ensure that existing customers are in good standing by conducting consistent, periodic account reviews. Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in risk management and personnel management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Must be able to work in a safe and efficient manner at all times.
· Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and through written communications through all organizational levels.
· Evaluate the credit worthiness of new and existing customers through financial statements, credit reports and other relevant data.
· Ensuring legal compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and industry best practices.
· Develop and implement credit policies and procedures to minimize risk and optimize cash flow.
· Establish and manage credit limits for customers, reviewing and adjusting limits as needed
· Monitor customer accounts for delinquencies, implementing collection strategies, and managing the collection process.
· Prepare detailed reports and metric data on credit risk, credit performance, and account statuses for various departments, providing updates as they become available.
· Ability to identify and resolve problems using critical thinking skills
· Must be able to prioritize tasks and multitask.
· Must bring a positive attitude (Can Do and What Can I do to Help) to the position.
· Be a positive contributor when interacting with other Asher’s team members and customers at all times.
· Perform specific tasks as requested and required by Asher’s Management team with Controller approval
Managing Responsibilities:
Manage all customer accounts and 1 Accounts Receivable Specialist and 1 Accounts Receivable Admin.
Requirements
Qualifications:
The ability to read, write, and comprehend English to safely perform all duties and requirements of the position.
Experience:
3-5 years related experience with the appropriate certificates and/or diplomas. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Knowledge and Skills:
· Must possess the strong analytical skills to be able to assess financial statements and credit risk
· Must have proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and other relevant software.
