Silver Plating Operator- 1st shift

Description

The Silver Plating Operator at LayerZero Power Systems, Inc will be responsible for loading and running the blaster to clean, finish, and prepare the surface of manufactured parts for preparation of paint application. This role requires the monitoring and operation of equipment and facilities while ensuring quality and conformance with standard operating procedures. The operator must always maintain safety standards and initiate and follow emergency procedures when necessary. LayerZero Power Systems, Inc is looking for an ambitious, organized, detail-oriented worker to join our team.

Requirements

• Touch-up parts in Silver Plating as necessary.
• Ensure proper adhesion and coverage of powder coating on surfaces
• Complete parts as needed to meet production demands
• Ability to read and interpret various build specifications, quality requirements and computer-generated documents
• Visually inspects parts for defects
• Performs Quality Checks as directed
• Responsible for maintaining 5S in the work area
• Follow company policies, plant rules, and safety regulations
• Provides assistance to coworkers as needed
• Communicates in an efficient and effective manner with coworkers and supervisors to ensure jobs are completed correctly
• Demonstrates the proper use of tools and equipment
• Performs all other duties as assigned

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments for quality control purposes
• Finishing in a manufacturing environment or transferrable manufacturing experience
• Must have the ability to read assembly drawings and follow direction
• Ability to use hand tool
• Ability to handle intricate parts
• Strong attention to detail

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift and handle heavy parts up to 30 lbs.
• Must be able to stand for extended time periods, up to the entire shift
• Must be able to bend, squat, kneel, or climb a stepladder while working
• Must be able to reach above and forward at least 18 inches
• Must possess hand dexterity and install small hardware
• Must have good vision to inspect parts and assemblies
