We’re looking for a proactive, adaptable, and commercially driven Account Manager to join our Tokyo team. You’ll play a key role in helping one of Japan’s best-in-class brands grow while scaling KOMOJU’s global presence. You’ll focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences, uncovering new growth opportunities, and driving shared success for both KOMOJU and our merchants.

What You’ll Do:

  • Collaborate & Execute: Work closely with the GKA team on shared accounts while independently managing your own portfolio of strategic merchants.
  • Build Relationships: Establish trust and long-term partnerships to reduce churn, maximize account value, and become a trusted advisor to your merchants.
  • Drive Growth: Identify and pursue commercial opportunities, leading growth discussions that align with merchant and KOMOJU goals.
  • Manage Projects: Oversee short- and long-term initiatives across multiple accounts, leveraging internal teams to deliver results on time.
  • Be the Customer’s Voice: Provide actionable feedback to enhance our product and merchant experience.
  • Prioritize & Problem-Solve: Independently manage competing priorities, troubleshoot challenges, and deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes.

Requirements

Who You Are

  • Experience: 3–6 years in a client-facing, commercially focused role, ideally within payments, merchant acquiring, PSPs, or financial technology.
  • Relationship Builder: Skilled at engaging with people and developing strong partnerships both internally and externally.
  • Growth Mindset: A self-starter with curiosity and drive to go beyond the obvious, using insights to generate measurable growth.
  • Results-Driven: Proven track record of achieving commercial targets and growing an existing portfolio.
  • Negotiator & Presenter: Confident in structuring and presenting complex pricing models and solutions.
  • Organized & Efficient: Excellent time management skills with a commitment to improving processes and team performance.
  • Language Skills: Full professional proficiency in Japanese & English; additional languages are a plus.
