Position Overview:

Marsh Furniture Company is seeking an experienced Director of Information Technology (IT). In this role, you will be responsible for the entire IT infrastructure, application solutions, strategy and operations. This senior leadership role will manage all aspects of IT, including systems administration, network management, cybersecurity, software implementation and the integration of manufacturing machinery with technology solutions. This role will ensure alignments across all locations including retail locations. Reports to Chief Operations Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

•  IT Strategy & Leadership: Develop & implement the IT strategy to for both manufacturing and retail operations ensure solutions drive growth, efficiency, and superior customer experiences.
• Manufacturing Technology Integration: Integration of IT systems with manufacturing machinery and processes. Ensure support for automated production, real-time monitoring, and data-driven decision-making.
• Retail IT Management: Manage IT systems for retail stores, including sales & service solutions, inventory management, and CRM tools. Ensure retail solutions are secure, and up-to-date.
• Infrastructure Management: Oversight of all IT infrastructure, including hardware and software solutions for all on site and remote operations. Ensure systems are scalable, reliable, and secure.
• Cybersecurity & Risk Management: Safeguard the company's data and systems across all locations, develop and enforce policies for cybersecurity, data privacy, and disaster recovery.
• Technology Support & Troubleshooting: Manage the IT support team to provide timely and effective support to all sites and employees, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Vendor Management: Select, negotiate, and maintain relationships with IT vendors and service providers. Ensure the company is receiving cost-effective and efficient technology solutions.
• Budget Management: Develop and manage the IT department's budget, ensuring alignment with company objectives and strategic priorities. Track expenditures and optimize spending.
• Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor the IT team. Foster a culture of continuous improvement ensuring team members have the resources and training to succeed. Requires the ability to build relationships and interact effectively with diverse teams across the company.
• Compliance & Standards: Ensure that IT policies and procedures comply with industry standards, legal requirements, and best practices in technology management.
• Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Stay informed on new technologies & industry trends. Propose innovative solutions that improve processes, increase productivity, and reduce cost.

Requirements

  

To ensure success as a Director of Information Technology, you should have:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of IT experience, including 5 years in a leadership or management role.
• Strong experience in IT infrastructure, systems integration, cloud technologies, & cybersecurity
• Proven experience in integrating manufacturing machinery & technology systems in a production environment.
• Experience managing IT systems for retail operations, including sales, CRM, and inventory management.
• Proven track record of managing budgets and driving initiatives that improve operations.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex issues and make sound decisions quickly.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical stakeholders.
• Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment is a plus.
