Description
The Floor Manager is responsible for overseeing and directing all aspects of the automotive sales department. This role involves leading a team of sales representatives to achieve maximum profitability and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Sales Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team; provide coaching and drive team motivation to meet sales goals.
- Process & Performance: Oversee and optimize the sales process; analyze performance metrics and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
- Customer Experience: Promote a customer-first culture; address concerns promptly to ensure a positive dealership experience.
- Inventory & Financial Management: Coordinate inventory needs; manage vehicle turn rates and department profitability within budget.
- Market Insight: Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to refine sales strategies and identify growth opportunities.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to all legal, regulatory, and internal policy requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrates a high “HQ” (Hospitality Quotient) consisting of kindness & optimism, intellectual curiosity, work ethic, empathy, self-awareness, and integrity.
- 3+ years of experience as an Automotive Sales Manager or 5+ years in an F&I or Floor Manager role.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and exceeding customer expectations.
- Strong knowledge of the automotive industry and sales processes.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and other relevant tools.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Physical Requirements
- Sitting: The majority of the workday is spent sitting at a desk, using a computer and phone.
- Standing and Walking: There may be times when the sales manager needs to stand, walk around the dealership, or attend meetings.
- Reaching and Bending: The manager may need to reach for files, supplies, or equipment.
- Lifting: Occasionally, there might be a need to lift or move documents, supplies, or equipment.
