Position Summary:
The Procurement Coordinator manages and support the day-to-day purchasing and procurement activities of our organization. This role ensures that goods and services are acquired efficiently, cost-effectively, and in a timely manner, while maintaining strong supplier relationships and accurate procurement records.
Responsibilities:
- Planning and scheduling of all inbound logistics (Inventory Receipts).
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with internal departments to anticipate material needs.
- Coordinate material procurement with approved vendors.
- Coordinate with Logistics team to establish best rates.
- Negotiating lead times with vendors.
- Track KPI metrics related to procurement and vendor performance.
- Participate in establishment of company policies and procedures (Re: Procurement).
- Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.
- Support customer service and administrative departments.
- Responsible for proper utilization of purchase orders and accurate landed costing.
- Contact carrier representative to plan, issue documentation, instructions for shipping, and delivery of materials.
- Resolve discrepancies between orders and goods, such as delays, condition, weight, quality, etc. quality, etc.
- Verify incoming materials against bills of lading, packing slips, etc.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 3 years’ experience with purchasing and procurement.
- 3 years’ experience with materials planning and analysis.
- Foundational understanding of costing with a high degree of attention to detail.
- Sage X3 experience or equivalent ERP system experience preferred, with the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in utilising Microsoft Office with a customer focus.
