YOUR ROLE IN CREATING GERONIMOMENTS

As the Event and Group Sales Manager, you are responsible for acting as the primary liaison between clients and internal departments, this role ensures alignment across teams to deliver exceptional experiences that exceed expectations. Core responsibilities include client relations, maximizing sales opportunities, detailing event logistics, and effectively communicating sales activities to all relevant teams.
WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE
- Makes decisions within specific guidelines.
- Conduct regular client site visits to showcase the property and available services. Be a product knowledge expert and create strong connections with all clients.
- Seek information from clients about their business needs and budget guidelines. Plan/detail event with customer from start to finish according to guest requests in a fiscally responsible manner.
- Negotiate with clients on pricing and value-added solution, prepare contracts and secure customer signatures.
- Follow-up in a timely manner with potential customers providing any requested information.
- Build out logistical details utilizing the appropriate event software for on-site team and clients.
- Coordinate planning of professional services (DJ, florist, a/v, rental company)
- Regularly attend and lead BEO meetings to ensure event details are communicated to operations team.
- Compose and distribute routing correspondence, reports, and group resumes based on organizational practice and policies.
- Work closely with front desk to ensure accuracy of reservations and group room blocks.
- Coordinate all room block aspects including rooming lists, cut-off dates, contracts, etc. to ensure that all deadlines are met.
- Confirm event setup with operations team in accordance to BEO.
- Achieve all quantitative sales goals. Provide weekly, monthly, and annual reports documenting sales productivity and sales activities.
- Ensure customer satisfaction during event through constant communication with main contact.
- Follow up with customer after each event, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Coordinate billing with restaurant management staff.
- Keep all necessary parties promptly and fully informed of all changes, problems or unusual matters of significance so that prompt corrective action can be taken when appropriate.
- Respect all co-workers and managers.
- Respond promptly to any guest request.
- Maintain clear and open communication between all staff for overall event success.
- Maintain a professional appearance, positive attitude and mannerism.

Requirements
WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED
Experience and/or Training
- One year Catering Sales management work history preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Must be 21 years or older
- Some level of management skills desired
- Refined verbal and written communication
- Be able to keep up with a fast paced environment
- Stand and/or walk entire shift
- Must be available nights and weekend
