The role
As a Specialist People Advisor, your role centres on driving continuous improvement and offering expert guidance on complex and tailored HR matters. You’ll support managers and staff with accurate, timely advice on legislation, policies, and procedures, while resolving escalated service requests and helping shape smarter, more efficient use of People & Culture services. Your insights will also feed into refining knowledge tools, analysing workforce data, and enhancing internal processes.
You’ll thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment where staying current on evolving legislation and systems is key. Success means balancing expert advice with proactive collaboration, contributing to a culture of service excellence and ongoing improvement. You’ll be expected to actively participate in team projects, share up-to-date knowledge, and use data-driven insights to support strategic HR initiatives. By promoting consistency and clarity in service delivery, you’ll play a vital role in shaping how the department supports its people and manages change.

What you will bring to the role
- Strong problem-solving abilities to navigate complex HR challenges and provide clear, practical solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Outstanding stakeholder engagement skills, fostering trusted relationships and ensuring alignment across diverse teams to deliver impactful outcomes.
- Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to stay ahead of evolving legislation, policies, and systems while maintaining service excellence.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to clearly convey complex HR advice and collaborate effectively across teams.
- Solid time management and organisational skills to juggle competing priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver consistent, high-quality support.
- Maintains meticulous attention to detail amidst high-volume workloads, ensuring accuracy in advice, reporting, and service documentation.
What is an essential requirement:
- Tertiary qualifications in human resources or related discipline, or relevant equivalent experience
