Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support customers in process control instrumentation and equipment startup with focus on flow measurement equipment
- Verify, troubleshoot and resolve instrumentation and equipment communications
- Inspect instrument wiring, power and grounding of installation
- Set up instruments with Hart 475 field communicator
- Work with onsite installation crew
- Replace/install instrumentation and equipment
- Troubleshoot failed instruments and equipment
- Develop solutions to resolve instrumentation and equipment problems
- Calibration of measurement and flow transmitters
- Providing clear and effective documentation of services provided to customers
Requirements
- Technical Degree or equivalent field experience. 5+ years experience with Rosemount products is preferred
- Familiarity with Rosemont and Micro Motion
- Familiarity with Foxboro, Endress&Hauser, Yokogawa, and other instrumentation
- Ability to use hand and power tools, including drills, saws, shovels, picks, wrenches, tube benders and tube cutters.
- Understand instrumentation and be able to read blueprints.
- Understand and be able to perform electrical work. 480V experience is preferred
- Ability to work with electrical conduit and fittings is a plus.
- Be proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Familiarity with TCP/IP, networking fundamentals, Modbus, RS232/485, and Hart communications
- Experience managing customer projects and working independently
- Current driver’s license
- Proficient with MS Office suite
- Ability to work any overtime that is required to complete a particular assignment (occasional weekend work)
- Ability to travel out of town and work in the field when required.
