IGS is currently pipelining for a remote mid-level Informatics Program Analyst to support the Department of Veterans Affairs. Candidates will be contacted as opportunities for further consideration becomes available.
Assignment of Work and Travel:
This is a remote access assignment. Candidates will work remotely daily and will remotely access VA systems and therein use approved VA provided communications systems. Travel is not required; however, the candidate may be required to attend onsite client meetings as requested.
Responsibilities and Duties (Included but not limited to):
- Provide direct analytical support to the Community of Practice (CoP) and its workgroups, helping to document requirements, map clinical processes, and evaluate proposed solutions
- Develop and manipulate qualitative and quantitative data to report on the progress and effectiveness of CoP workgroups and the overall program
- Use source data to evaluate the effectiveness of programs and businesses processes
- Use qualitative and quantitative analytical skills to assess the effectiveness of the operations
- Development of user requirement specifications and associated use cases
- Definition of process maps and optimized approaches to fulfil user requirements
- Traceability mapping and other analysis documentation as required
- Analyze clinical processes, data flows, and data needs to identify solution opportunities, enhancements, data mapping and integration needs
- Work closely with product owners, development teams, and users to interpret solution demand, refine user requirements/stories, and prioritize backlog tasks
- Work closely with project leads and other key stakeholders to Identify and manage risks and issues associated with collected demands, report on progress and outcomes
- Participate in required meetings to communicate status and outcomes
- Ensure compliance with industry processes and regulations
- Draft User acceptance test scripts (UAT), review, and dry run with the business team

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Health Informatics, Nursing or related curriculum
- 5+ years of experience in the field or in a related area with relevant clinical Informatics experience in a Veterans Administration healthcare setting
- Excellent analytical skills and proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders to capture value driven requirements and translate to solution outcomes.
- Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R), data analysis tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Familiar with agile project management and data management processes, with knowledge of Jira to track all work and collaborate with team and stakeholders
- Experience leading requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation.
- Strong skills in user requirements elicitation and process definition for application in technology solutions.
- Knowledge of Access, Excel, effective written and oral communication, presentation and facilitation skills at an executive level
- Knowledge of SharePoint Online, Office 365, Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI at an expert level as deemed necessary by role
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain VA Public Trust.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship due to clearance requirement.
Preferred Qualifications and Core Competencies:
- Previous experience as a registered nurse or data modeler
- Master’s Degree in Health Informatics or Nursing
- Active VA Public Trust
- Prior, successful experience working in a remote environment

Compensation: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary, including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
