Description
As a Safety Coordinator at Cadence McShane Construction, you will play a pivotal role in championing environmental, health, and safety (EHS) compliance across construction projects, while fostering a culture of safety and collaboration. Working with multiple project teams, you will conduct on-site training, implement safety programs, and drive operational excellence in adherence to federal, state, and company regulations. Requirements
- Provide EHS leadership and operational support for project teams to ensure compliance with federal, state, and company regulations.
- Implement site-level EHS procedures.
- Conduct and manage safety training and audits.
- Assist project management in developing a knowledge base for site compliance
- Collaborate with others on a daily basis to provide EHS solutions.
- Maintain computerized EHS records.
- Champion a safety culture throughout job sites.
- Contribute to the Safety Committee's best practice reports.
- Facilitate incident investigations and corrective actions.
- Work closely with Environmental and OSHA agencies.
- Understand and respond to regulation changes affecting ongoing projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health or a related field
- 4+ years’ experience in construction safety
- OSHA 30-hour training required
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work productively with clients, owners, project professionals, and both field and office team members.
- Leadership skills to direct field staff and ensure compliance with safety regulations and policies.
- Ability to proactively identify problems and develop solutions.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to use or learn project software.
- Fluency in Spanish a plus.

Other Things to Know:
- Full-time, in-person role at multiple job sites.
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License and own car required.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. required.
