Responsibilities

Identifies patients to be entered into trauma database; abstracts medical records, performs AIS and ICD-9 coding of all trauma patients entered into database, analyzes registry data, and creates custom reports and graphs based on requests from medical staff, hospital departments and Administration. Maintains records and database for PI and assists Program Manager and Medical Director with the coordination

Qualifications

REQUIRED:. 5 yrs previous medical experience including working knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology and ICD-9 coding . Previous chart abstraction/data collection . Strong analytical skills . Strong organizational skills . Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills such as database management, Excel, Power Point and Word

 

PREFERRED:. Certification in Trauma Registry preferred

Work Hours:

7am-3pm
