Key Responsibilities
Administration & Configuration
- Administer, configure, and maintain SharePoint environments, including farms, sites, libraries, lists, and workflows.
- Manage SharePoint Online (Office 365) and/or SharePoint On-Premises environments, including hybrid setups.
- Monitor performance, availability, and capacity to ensure platform stability.
- Implement patches, updates, and service packs to maintain system security and compliance.
Security & Permissions
- Manage user access, permissions, and security groups according to governance policies.
- Maintain compliance with internal security standards and regulatory requirements.
Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for SharePoint-related issues, working closely with end-users and the IT team.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system errors, integration issues, and performance problems.
- Document solutions and provide training materials to improve user adoption.
Development & Integration
- Work with business units to design and implement site structures, workflows, and automation using SharePoint Designer, Power Automate, or related tools.
- Integrate SharePoint with Microsoft 365 services (Teams, OneDrive, Power Platform) and third-party applications.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate administration tasks.
Governance & Best Practices
- Enforce governance, taxonomy, and metadata management standards.
- Create and maintain documentation, site templates, and content management policies.
- Provide recommendations to improve collaboration and document management efficiency.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3–5 years of experience administering SharePoint environments
- Experience with Office 365 administration and Microsoft Teams integration.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of SharePoint architecture, features, and capabilities.
- Proficiency with PowerShell scripting for SharePoint administration.
- Experience with SharePoint Designer, Power Automate (Flow), and Power Apps.
- Experience with SharePoint reporting and advanced management
- Familiarity with integrating Power BI dashboards, workspaces, reports and datasets
- Familiarity with SQL Server and IIS as they relate to SharePoint.
- Knowledge of security, compliance, and governance best practices.
Soft Skills
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong customer service focus and ability to work collaboratively with non-technical users.
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Administrator Associate or Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate.
- Experience migrating SharePoint On-Premises to SharePoint Online.
- Familiarity with content migration tools such as ShareGate or AvePoint Fly SaaS.
