As an lead buyer at MSD, you will partner with Engineering, Internal Teams, Sales, Customers to manage supply base. In this role, you will report to the regional procurement manager.

You Will Make an Impact By:

• Complete work responsibilities in annual objective setting

• Find, develop & qualify suitable Chinese/Asian suppliers to realize potential savings and to optimize lead  times and logistic processes

• Definition and realization of the procurement strategy for all parts of the responsible material groups

• Selection and qualification of suppliers in coordination with SQE, development, quality and engineering

• Regular analysis of Asian/Chinese procurement markets and benchmarks

• Conduct tenders/RFQ´s and associated negotiations 

Conclude cooperation-, framework- and quality assurance agreements

Accompany development projects from a purchasing point of view and lead the supplier-side coordination in the project phases up to the series

Drive continuous cost reduction and process optimization programs • Contribute actively the development and analysis of make-or-buy decisions• Execute supplier assessments

Other tasks assigned• Travel Requirements: Up to 30% of Travel is required.Skills You Bring:• Bachelor or above• 5 years of job-related work experience• Mechanical Engineering, automation or related subjects• Strong sense of urgency, pro-activePreferred Skills: (Optional)Hiring Manager to include three (3) three to six (6) bullet points that describe the nice to haves• Background in negotiation for results in complex situations and tight time pressure• Demonstrate successes in supplier development / management and procurement value creation• Solid experiences in automation equipment parts purchasing or PCB equipment parts purchasing
