Shaftesbury Mews is looking to recruit a Driver to join the team. This is a part time role for 20 hours that is covering evening and weekends.

Shaftesbury Mews is located in the Jordanstown area of Belfast, off the main road on the Antrim coastline. It offers residential and nursing support to 18 people, who are on the autism spectrum, or have a learning disability. The home can also support those with physical health needs and a brain injury.

What you'll be doing

You’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the service and to support the wellbeing of our residents. While your role doesn’t involve providing direct care, your contribution is vital in helping to maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for everyone. Whether you're assisting with day-to-day operations, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.

Drive the people who use our service to a variety of different activities and appointments, ensuring that the journey is completed in a safe and timely manner, using the most efficient route
Relied upon by the people who use our service to facilitate attendance at appointments,
involvement in activities and programmes and engagement in the wider community.
Ensure that the unit’s vehicles are cleaned regularly, and that any damage or faults are dealt with immediately
Drive staff and other visitors to/from the unit as required by the line manager

What you'll bring to the role

As this is a driving role, you must hold a full UK driving license and have some experience within a driving-based role.
