Job Description

Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Status: Permanent Full-Time

Position Summary

As a member of the Treasury team, the Financial Analyst II performs a broad scope of treasury accounting & reporting activities, reconciliations, budgeting, daily cash monitoring/forecasting and deposit tracking, analytics as well other adhoc duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Duties

  • Perform month-end close reporting, including preparing and posting treasury related journal entries
  • Perform monthly reconciliation for assigned Balance Sheet accounts and provide variance analysis as required
  • Monitor and analyze bank account activity and collaborate with internal teams on reconciling bank transactions
  • Monitor daily cash position, provide insights on changes to cash position and prepare weekly forecasts for management decision making
  • Prepare relevant analysis on bank charges & fees as well as key drivers to changes in banking costs
  • Provide inputs to the annual budget exercise, including bank fees & charges, investment income etc.
  • Responsible for all assigned treasury related requirements for the external and internal audits

Qualifications

  • University degree in Bachelor of Commerce, with a concentration in Accounting or equivalent
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in transaction reconciliations, financial analysis, banking and/or other related areas
  • Experienced with SAP preferred
  • Advanced MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, macros)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving knowledge and skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities
  • Detail-oriented, able to maintain accuracy under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
