Job Description

Reporting to the HSEC Manager, you will be responsible for providing environmental support to the operation in line with the company’s environmental management plans and regulatory requirements. 

• Lead the environmental team and collaborate with HSEC, operations, and technical services teams
• Develop and implement environmental strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with organisational objectives
• Oversee the ongoing implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of the site Environmental Management System (EMS).
• Oversee environmental monitoring programs and ensure compliance with environmental permits
• Oversee the collation and timely submission of environmental information required for reporting
• Lead progressive rehabilitation of disturbed areas in accordance with PRCP requirements, including topsoil management, rehabilitation establishment, rehabilitation maintenance and rehabilitation monitoring requirements
• Ensure site environmental events are reported, investigated and appropriately controlled, in line with site procedures.
• Drive continuous improvement in environment systems and processes
