Clerk Grade 11/12 - $149,739 - $173,174 plus superannuation and leave loading 

 

Your role

Being a part of a multi-disciplinary team, the Principal Data Analyst will serve as a link between business objectives and technical solutions, ensuring requirements are clearly defined, aligned, and optimally integrated within the existing technical landscape and systems.

 

What you’ll do

 

Reporting to the Director, Homelessness Programs the responsibilities of this role will include (but are not limited to):

  • Leading in the knowledge of the Client Information Management System (CIMS, case management system for homelessness programs), including data extraction, help desk functions, and enhancements of configurations
  • Collecting and analysing homelessness data ensuring it meets national minimum data standards
  • Providing the data strategy, processes and mentoring of the data team to perform their duties
  • Leading the analysis and documentation of business requirements and facilitation of business and system solutions
  • Working with technical specialists to identify and evaluate feasible, cost-efficient, and effective technical solutions that complies with regulatory requirements, security standards, department, and industry best practices
  • Providing proactive and evidence-based expert advice on homelessness data and systems to the Manager, Homelessness Systems and Performance and Director, Homelessness Programs and other stakeholders to support development of homelessness policies and strategies.   
  • Coordinating data activities with business stakeholders, advises on proper methods and processes to be followed and resolve operational issues encountered

  

What we’re looking for

 Essential Requirements

The essential requirements of this role are:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience with a demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development

In addition to the essential requirements, the ideal candidate will have:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain data in easy to understand language
  • A high level of experience in client management systems, particularly CIMS, and superior understanding of the specialist homelessness services collection (SHSC)
  • Strong decision making, influencing and negotiation skills
  • The ability to manage, develop and mentor a team
  • High attention to detail
