Job Description

Responsible to design innovative circuits (analog, semi-custom and mixed-signal design) for 3DNAND flash memory core. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve the power, performance, area and reliability by detailed transistor-level analysis. Drive architecture, design and physical implementation of memory core circuits involving memory cell arrays, sense amplifiers, decoders and word line / bit line drivers. Perform circuit simulations, silicon debug, and post-silicon characterization.

Component Design Engineers are responsible for the design and development of electronic components. Responsibilities may include: the design of chip layout circuit design, circuit checking, device evaluation and characterization, documentation of specifications, prototype construction and checkout, modification and evaluation of semiconductor devices and components, performing developmental and/or test work, reviewing product requirements and logic diagrams, planning and organizing design projects or phases of design projects. Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur. Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgement.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

Atleast seven years of analog or mixed signal design experience with bachelor degree / atleast five years of analog or mixed signal design experience with Masters degree.
Experience using simulation tools like hspice and XA for ac/dc/transient analysis, monte-carlo and noise analysis.
Experience using schematic editors like virtuoso and layout tools.
Experience with analog and mixed-signal block design such as op-amp, comparator, voltage regulator, row and column decoders etc.

Desired qualifications:

Proficiency in scripting language, such as, Perl, Tcl, Make and automation methods/algorithms is a plus.
Experience in performing parasitic extraction and run extracted simulation across various corners to make sure designs are robust and can be taken to volume production.
Familiarity to explore architectural options for optimum memory core design.
Ability to work independently to solve pre/post silicon issues.

Additional Information

For California, Colorado, New York, $101,120 to $196,720. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
