The Analyst – Corporate Development will play a critical role in surfacing market intelligence, synthesizing internal feedback, and producing actionable insights that drive strategy across Corporate Development and Berkadia. This role requires strong research skills, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to identify and articulate trends in commercial real estate, technology, and innovation. The analyst will engage with internal stakeholders and external partners to produce competitive intelligence and market and tech discovery reports. This role is best suited for someone who thrives at the intersection of data, storytelling, and strategic influence. 

We Innovate to shape the future of CRE, so in this role you will:

  • Conduct independent and proactive market research to identify trends, emerging technologies, and relevant startups in the FinTech and PropTech space. 
  • Synthesize qualitative and quantitative feedback across teams to produce clear narratives around organizational needs and opportunities. 
  • Support investment diligence workflows by creating company profiles, technology summaries, and competitive benchmarking. 
  • Lead discovery conversations with stakeholders to explore workflows, pain points, and interest in emerging technology. 
  • Prepare and present insights and trend updates to senior leadership and cross-functional partners. 
  • Support internal processes, collaborating with legal, procurement, risk, and security groups by facilitating the sourcing / vetting of new technologies. 
  • Participate in due diligence of potentially attractive market spaces and startups
  • Schedule and coordinate discovery calls, founder meetings, and internal insight-gathering interviews. 
  • Other duties as assigned.  

We are passionate about your growth, so to achieve success in this role you should have: 

  • Analytical and research-oriented mindset. 
  • Clear and persuasive communicator (written and verbal), able to synthesize complexity. 
  • Comfortable interacting with internal stakeholders and startup founders. 
  • Familiarity with commercial real estate and emerging technology sectors. 
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint. 
  • Ability to independently manage multiple ongoing research initiatives. 
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar position.
