Role Objectives: The Account Specialist is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of the sales, business development, and customer account management at WEP Clinical.    As required, the Account Specialist may support operations inclusive of, but not limited to: Business Development, Account Management, Sourcing, Clinical Trial Supply, Warehousing, and Administration.   The overall goal of the Account Specialist is to support sales of WEP Clinical’s range of products and services to WEP Clinical’s customers in accordance with the agreed business plans.

What You'll Do:

  • Support the R&D/Clinical Trial Sourcing team to develop, coordinate, and implement plans designed to increase existing business and capture new opportunities. 
  • Engage with customers to provide a seamless product supply offering. 
  • Engage with the existing organization to leverage on existing infrastructures and customer contacts. 
  • Support the team in order to hit monthly sales and profit targets, and deliver measurable sales growth and revenue generating activities. 
  • Support with the generation and documentation of product quotes, as well as the processing of purchase orders. 
  • Engage potential customers, foster new business opportunities, and foster the expansion of existing customer accounts on behalf of WEP business development through proactive client outreach. 
  • Maintain and develop existing and new partnerships through appropriate propositions and sales methods, to optimize quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction. 
  • Assist with customer documentation as needed. 
  • Review CTS marketing materials as needed.  
  • Work to current GDP guidelines and within the company framework of its Quality Management System. 

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (in a Science, Business, Pharmaceutical, or Finance field preferred)  
  • 1-3 years’ experience in Customer Account Management and/or Business Development  
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills 
  • Confidence and adeptness in initiating contact with new prospects, as well as leading meetings with both prospective and existing clients 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail 
  • Computer literacy and proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel & PowerPoint, and CRM platforms/software
