The Director, Strategy Operations supporting the SVP is a strategic partner and execution-focused leader responsible for driving alignment, accelerating team performance, and ensuring that the SVP’s top priorities are effectively translated into action across multiple functions. Acting as a force multiplier, this individual enables the SVP to focus on high-impact areas by managing operational execution, cross-functional initiatives, and strategic communications. This role supports a diverse portfolio including Strategy, Business Development, Supply Chain, IT, and Financial Services.
You Will
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the SVP, helping define and manage strategic priorities, drive business planning, and ensure cross-functional alignment
- Ensure consistent execution and follow-through across teams, establishing clear accountability and timely delivery
- Support decision-making by preparing high-quality briefing materials, presentations, and actionable recommendations
- Lead and execute special projects and internal initiatives with measurable outcomes, ownership structures, and defined milestones
- Optimize organizational efficiency through the design and rollout of scalable systems, tools, and workflows
- Proactively identify and resolve operational issues before they escalate
- Collaborate with function heads to oversee budgeting processes, monitor actuals, and implement corrective actions when needed
- Act as a liaison for the SVP with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring strong communication and follow-up
- Develop board materials, executive updates, and strategic communications
- Own and facilitate key meeting cadences, including staff meetings, All Hands, and executive leadership forums
- Partner with HR on talent planning, organizational health, and internal communications
- Champion a collaborative, high-performing, and inclusive team culture
You Bring:
- 15+ years of experience in management consulting, business operations, corporate strategy, or Chief of Staff-type roles
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing at all levels without formal authority
- Exceptional communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Proven organizational, project management, and execution capabilities
- High emotional intelligence, sound judgment, and unwavering discretion
Great to Have:
- Experience in high-growth environments, startups, or industry transformations—particularly in Technology or Automotive
- Background in scaling operations or leading enterprise-wide change initiatives
- Familiarity with OKRs, Agile methodologies, and other strategic planning frameworks
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree strongly preferred
