About this role:
The Treasury Manager plays a key role in managing the company's treasury operations. This is a mid-senior role, working as part of a value-adding, focused team delivering useful insights to the business and treasury solutions that ensure the Group’s Treasury risks are managed effectively.
This role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the treasury team, supporting activities that optimise financial performance, mitigate risks, maximise the strength of the company's cash and liquidity, and support its free cash flow targets. Key areas of responsibility include funding, global cash management, FX risk management, treasury operations, maintaining relationships with banks and private debt investors as well as rating agencies, and maintaining the treasury management system.
Accountabilities:
Maintain policies and processes to ensure Treasury risks are managed effectively including foreign exchange, interest rate, credit and liquidity risk.
Monitor treasury operations and cash management activities, including cash flow analysis, liquidity management, and short-term financing options to meet operational needs
Forecast cash flow and monitor liquidity to meet operational and strategic needs.
Manage foreign exchange exposure and hedging activities for the Group - executing transactions via FXall and Bloomberg to ensure Group and business unit exposures are appropriately covered in accordance with Board approved policies.
Support management of the $1.6bn debt portfolio, including ensuring the register of US Private Placement Note holders is maintained, all interest and debt payments are made, and all investors queries are answered and resolved.
Support management of the $800m RCF.
Develop and foster relationships with banks
Supporting global working capital management initiatives, with visibility to the Group CFO and finance leadership team
Preparing monthly cash flow reporting packs and Board papers on treasury risk and financing.
Oversee the Treasury team, supporting day-to-day operations, delegating work, ensuring a high degree of quality and accuracy in all activities and fostering a commitment to financial integrity.
Lead research on complex treasury issues, emerging trends and best practices, providing insights and recommendations to management on potential impacts, mitigation strategies and other projects.
Support and collaborate with treasury colleagues in China, Poland and Brazil.
Collaborate with other teams across Finance to ensure accurate reporting of treasury-related information in financial statements and support compliance efforts during internal and external audits to maximise corporate governance.
Support the implementation of internal controls and procedures related to Treasury processes within the team, delivering frequent skills and compliance training to team members to ensure adherence to best practices and regulatory requirements.
Act as the main point of contact for the Treasury Management System and any related upgrade and development work.
Support the Group Treasurer on ad-hoc projects as needed
Skills and Experience:
Significant experience in Treasury gained in an international organisation (ideally with a shared services support model).
Strong Finance and Accounting knowledge
Good working knowledge of SAP and FIS Quantum
Microsoft Office Suite – particularly strength in Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to prioritise well and complete tasks under time pressure
