Job Description:
The HR Business Partner – Operations plays a strategic and hands-on role in supporting our manufacturing site in Mexicali. This role partners closely with leaders to drive talent strategies, foster employee engagement, ensure compliance, and deliver HR solutions that align with business goals. The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, and experienced in navigating complex HR challenges within a dynamic operational environment.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Partner on-site with employees and leaders of assigned Client Group (manager and their organization)
- Contribute to the business strategy by helping business leaders to identify, prioritize, and build organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures, and processes.
- Develops and leads people engagement efforts, is a steward of our culture and contributes to work that supports and defines the Envista business.
- Implements all annual talent programs including (P4G – Performance for Growth, Annual Engagement Survey administration and Action Plans, OTA (Organizational Talent Assessment) in partnership with leaders of their client groups. This includes building local timelines to ensure corporate timelines are achieved. This includes running calibration meetings and rolling up plans site HR leader and global HR leadership team.
- Leads and facilitates interactive sessions for employees at all levels of the organization on a variety of topics - from policies and programs to leadership development initiatives.
- Accountable for Workday accuracy within Client Group (req approval after budget confirmed, manager’s teams are accurate, employee data accurate).
- Partners with the Talent Acquisition team on external and internal recruiting for a variety of role types.
- Advises and coaches management in appropriate resolution of employee relations and performance issues.
- Drives talent development efforts for targeted employee populations, leveraging L&D programs from Envista library of offerings. This includes identification of learning needs, choosing appropriate programs, ensuring implementation as well as pull-through and measurement of programs.
- Provides support for special projects, both inside and outside of the HR function.
- Responsible for counseling and advising management on a variety of topics related to talent including implementation of training, performance management, and organizational reviews.
- Investigates, mediates, and resolves employee and labor relations issues. Manages employee complaints and ensures accurate and timely documentation of concerns or issues.
- In partnership with corporate Talent Acquisition, leads external and internal recruiting for a variety of role types.
- Administers employee changes (i.e., promotions, transfers, salary increases, terminations). Conducts the exit process. Ensures efficiency and accuracy of HR processes and transactions.
- Advises and coaches management in appropriate resolution of employee performance issues.
- Supports with the administration of benefits and HR legal functions including open enrollment, leave of absences management, and the immigration process.
- Partners on global HR initiatives as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned related to HR.
Job Requirements:
Education/Experience/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in HR, Business Management, or related fields.
- 5 years’ experience working in Human Resources field.
- Proven, strong employee collaboration and partnership experience required.
- Working knowledge of recruiting, data capturing, compensation, benefits, and training.
- Problem solving skills
- Strong analytical skills using Excel, Power BI or similar.
- Strong effective communication skills oral/written in both Spanish and English.
Preferred Requirements:
- Lean or continuous improvement background.
- Strong labor law knowledge.
