Technician II, Manufacturing Purification

We currently have an exciting opportunity available for a Technician II, Manufacturing Purification in Boca Raton, Florida!

The Technician II, Manufacturing Purification is under the direct supervision of the Group Leader. This experienced position is responsible for the manufacture of plasma products through protein separation and other tasks involving Ultrafiltration, Chromatography, and Nanofiltration.

• Cleans and Sanitizes Equipment before and after use.
• Responsible for production operations.
• Make and verify connections on flow panels. 
• Perform pH and conductivity measurements.
• Performs chemical and buffer additions.
• Operation of Ultrafiltration system. 
• Initiate product processes on the Process Automated System (PAS). 
• Column chromatography using up to 80cm columns.
• Take and prepare product samples.
• Order and maintain raw material inventories. 
• Complete Batch records. 
• Assist Group Leader in training of other Tech positions.
• Is comfortable operating the Purification equipment (Chromatography, Ultra Filtration, Nano Filtration, Titrations, etc.) with minimal to no instructions from a more experienced technician or leader.

Education Requirements:

• A high school diploma or equivalent and 4 years of experience is required.

Experience Requirements:

• GMP experience required, and a minimum of 2 years Protein Purification experience is preferred.

** Must be able to be flexible in a 24/7 operation, typical shifts are 12 hours in duration. **
