RN Manager Invasive & Non-Invasive Cardiology

Work Shift:

I. Position Summary:
Manages the day-to-day function of the department and maintains 24-hour accountability for its function, productivity, and quality. Provides clinical, administrative, and quality oversight for all non-invasive Cardiology services including Echocardiography, TEE’s, Cardioversions, ECG, Holter/Event Monitoring, cardiac exercise and reading panel for all non-invasive cardiac studies. Initiates and ensures the maintenance of performance improvement, departmental customer satisfaction and staff competency, physician, and staff satisfaction. Participates in staffing, call coverage and late stay coverage as needed and required by the needs of the department.

II. Qualifications:

A. Education & Training:
Degree from an Accredited School of Nursing.

B. Experience:
Three (3) years nursing experience. Required experience in the performance of non-invasive cardiac diagnostics. At least 2 years’ experience in a charge capacity required.

C. Required Certification/Registration/Licensure:
Current US state RN license with authorization to practice in the state of GA. Current AHA/ARC BLS certification. Current AHA ACLS/ARC ALS certification or obtained within nine (9) months of hire. Successful completion of an HHC Basic Rhythm Interpretation Course or CLEP Exam within nine (9) months of hire.
