Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Lab Technician to join our Abqaiq branch, supporting Saudi Aramco projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction material testing, with hands-on experience in field and lab procedures, and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure proper maintenance, calibration, and operational readiness of laboratory equipment.
Lead and supervise testing activities to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project specifications.
Prepare and review detailed documentation and reports of test results.
Conduct advanced field and laboratory testing of construction materials including soil, concrete, asphalt, and aggregates.
Perform specialized geotechnical evaluations such as plate load tests in accordance with Saudi Aramco standards.
Coordinate with project teams to meet testing schedules and client expectations.
Uphold safety standards and actively contribute to process improvements and quality assurance initiatives.

Qualifications:

Diploma or higher in Civil Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in construction material testing.
Proven experience on Saudi Aramco projects is mandatory.
Valid Aramco ID is highly preferred.
In-depth knowledge of ASTM, BS, and Aramco testing procedures and standards.
Strong leadership, communication, and technical reporting skills.
Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting laboratory instruments such as compression testing machines, nuclear density gauges, CBR testing machine and automatic compaction equipment.
Experience in preparing and handling samples for physical and chemical analysis.
Familiarity with laboratory quality control systems including ISO/IEC 17025.
Ability to interpret test data and identify anomalies or inconsistencies.
Skilled in using laboratory information management systems (LIMS) or digital reporting tools.
