The TEMPORARY (1-year), project-based role of the Senior Executive Director of Talent Management serves as a key strategic and operational leader within the Talent Management function, directly supporting the Vice President of Talent Management and maintaining day-to-day operations within the Talent Acquisition department. This role will provide direct supervision to the Executive Director of Talent Strategy & Operations and four Directors of Talent Acquisition, while leading specialized projects across the Talent Management Department. This role will ensure the successful execution of enterprise-wide talent strategies, with a strong focus on project leadership, operational excellence, and system innovation—including support for the build and implementation of ERP and ATS systems.

 

Primary Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Serve as the senior advisor to the VP of Talent Management on enterprise-level talent initiatives and system development.
  • Translate the enterprise talent strategy into actionable plans across recruitment, talent operations, and development programs. Integrating workforce planning, external market intelligence, and internal capability assessment to proactively meet current and future talent needs.
  • Provide vision, leadership, and coaching to direct reports to ensure alignment and delivery of departmental goals.
  • Lead the implementation and enterprise adoption of next-generation talent technologies, including AI-enabled sourcing, CRM/ATS/ERP systems, and data analytics platforms to modernize and automate the talent ecosystem.

Team Management

  • Lead, develop, and performance-manage a high-impact teams including Talent Acquisition, Sourcing, and Employer Branding & Marketing, ATS system administration and Talent Strategy.
  • Ensure accountability and collaboration across all levels to support efficient execution and a culture of service excellence.

Project-Based Support

  • Serve as lead for strategic and time-sensitive projects in Talent Acquisition, Training, and Professional Development.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to design, implement, and track the success of initiatives that improve talent pipelines, employee onboarding, and professional growth.

Systems Development & Optimization

  • Collaborate closely with HRIS and cross-functional teams to support the build of the organization’s ERP and ATS systems, as needed.
  • Serve as a strategic business owner and SME for talent systems; ensure scalability, data integrity, and user adoption.
  • Execute the comprehensive enterprise talent data strategy, delivering real-time dashboards, predictive insights, and reporting frameworks that inform executive decision-making and talent investments.

Operational Oversight

  • Drive consistent performance metrics, compliance, and reporting processes in Talent Acquisition operations.
  • Ensure standardization, documentation, and quality control across recruiting and onboarding functions.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work cross-functionally with Learning & Development, Credentialing, and Operational leadership to align hiring and development strategies with business needs.
  • Drive operational excellence and scalability, embedding agile principles, process innovation, and standardized ways of working to enhance efficiency, quality, and speed of hiring.
  • Govern and optimize third-party partnerships, including RPO providers, technology vendors, and recruitment marketing agencies, ensuring service excellence, innovation, and ROI.

Qualifications

This is a TEMPORARY (1-year), project-based role that will maintain day-to-day oversight of the talent acquisition team while leading and supporting key projects necessary for the successful build and implementation of a new ERP system.

 

Job Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
  2. Minimum 12 years of progressive HR, Talent Acquisition, or Talent Strategy experience, including at least 7 years in a leadership capacity.
  3. Demonstrated success in building and leading large teams, managing complex projects, and driving system implementations.
  4. Strong analytical capabilities and experience using data to inform decisions and optimize performance.
  5. Proven experience in leading through ambiguity and driving large-scale organizational change.
  6. Experience in human services, behavioral health, or related industries preferred.
