The People Systems Functional Manager (Workday HCM) is a key functional position responsible for the development and enhancement of the Workday platform. This role oversees a team of Functional Analysts dedicated to designing, building, testing, and deploying Workday solutions that enable ACE to leverage the full capabilities of an integrated cloud-based system. Working closely with the Workday Product Owner and business / executive stakeholders, the manager ensures the delivery of technology-driven Human Capital Management solutions that effectively support business operations and enhance the user experience.
What You’ll Do:
Leadership and Team Management
Establish and communicate the vision and objectives for the Workday Functional team, ensuring alignment with business goals.
Supervise the team's activities by offering guidance, direction, and support for professional development.
Evaluate team performance and provide feedback to maintain productivity.
Allocate resources as needed, ensure access to required tools and assistance, and manage team capacity.
Data Governance & Program Management
Establish and ensure continuous operations of a governance model that engages stakeholders and supports the prioritization of work in alignment with goals.
Ensure data is accurate, consistent, secure, and used responsibly throughout its lifecycle, enabling better decision-making and compliance.
Develop and maintain processes to report the status of projects, enhancements, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Vendor Management
Facilitate and oversee engagement with Workday representatives by leveraging Workday Success Plans to foster robust relationships, address organizational requirements, maximize value, minimize risks, and ensure that service delivery is strategically aligned with business goals.
Compliance & Life-Cycle Management
Ensure adherence to industry standards, government regulations, and internal organizational policies.
Conduct regular monitoring and auditing of compliance controls to evaluate their effectiveness and pinpoint opportunities for improvement; this process may include both internal and external audits. Oversee ongoing Workday adoption, manage feature releases, and implement enhancements that drive improved performance, efficiency, and functionality.
End-User Support
Resolves issues users encounter with Workday functionality, such as problems with integrations, reports, or specific business processes.
Provides guidance on how to use specific features, navigate the system, and leverage Workday's capabilities.
What You’ll Need:
Workday Expertise
Deep understanding of the Workday platform, features, functionalities, limitations, and functional areas including Core HCM, Benefits, Compensation, Advanced Compensation, Talent, Absence, Time Tracking, Payroll, Learn, and Performance.
In depth understanding of business processes and ability to analyze, design, and implement solutions in Workday that align with specific business requirements.
Proficiency in Workday configuration and reporting includes creating new features, outlining dashboards, establishing workflows, altering user interfaces, and creating and maintaining reports.
Understanding of Workday’s security framework and ability to manage security permissions effectively.
Communication
Communicates complex information clearly and accurately to a targeted audience, ensuring they can achieve specific objectives, and facilitates effective exchange among leaders and diverse stakeholders.
Collaboration
Fosters communication, coordination, and cooperation among team members, stakeholders, and developers of diverse skill sets, to achieve a common goal.
Analytical and Problem-Solving
Ability to effectively identify, analyze, and resolve complex issues ranging from troubleshooting technical issues to resolving conflicts and developing strategic plans.

The starting pay range for this position is:
$142,300.00 - $189,200.00Additionally, for full time positions, you will be eligible to participate in our incentive program based upon the achievement of organization, team and personal performance.
