Position Overview:
As a key member of the Retail Talent Acquisition Team at Guitar Center, the Sr. Recruiter plays a pivotal role in identifying, attracting, and hiring top retail talent who embody our Core Values and fuel the success of our stores nationwide. This position focuses on full-cycle recruiting for Guitar Center store leadership and instructor positions across the South region.
**Please note this role is remote to the Texas region.
Key Responsibilities
- Full-Cycle Retail Recruitment: Manage high-volume, end-to-end recruiting for retail positions, ensuring timely and high-quality hires that align with store needs and seasonal demands.
- Field Partnership: Serve as a trusted advisor to District and Regional Managers, supporting their staffing strategies and guiding them through the recruitment process with a consultative approach.
- Retail Talent Sourcing: Proactively source both active and passive candidates through job boards, referrals, hiring events, social media, and local outreach efforts; develop talent pools in key markets.
- Candidate Experience: Deliver a positive, engaging, and inclusive candidate experience that reflects our brand and culture throughout all hiring touchpoints.
- Hiring Manager Coaching: Train and empower store leadership on best practices for interviewing, evaluating, and selecting candidates in a competitive retail labor market.
- Field & Community Engagement: Partner with local schools, and community organizations to develop grassroots pipelines and promote Guitar Center as an employer of choice.
- Reporting & Metrics: Track and report on key hiring metrics such as time-to-fill, candidate flow, and hiring quality to continually refine retail recruiting strategies.
- Additional Duties as Assigned.
To join our band, you'll need the following experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or equivalent work experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in high-volume retail or field recruiting; experience supporting multiple locations and stakeholders preferred.
- Proven success recruiting for retail roles, with a strong grasp of store operations and seasonal hiring demands.
- Skilled in using ATS platforms, candidate relationship management tools, and social recruiting channels (LinkedIn, Indeed, etc.).
- Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills; able to build trust with field teams and influence hiring decisions.
- Ability to travel as needed for hiring events, store openings, or field engagement (approximately 10–15%).

Pay Rate: $77,000 - $90,000 annually depending on background and experience.
