The opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Foreperson to join the Contracting Division assisting in the delivery of a variety of projects for our clients. In this role, you'll see yourself responsible for leading an operational crew to deliver work on time, on budget and safely. You will be coordinating plant, labour, subcontractors and suppliers. You will deliver a quality service, developing the capabilities of your crew, engaging with staff and clients daily.

In addition to the above you will:

  • Foster a safe work environment by educating your crew on construction safety regulations and emergency procedures

  • Maximising your team’s daily productivity and ensuring the quality of works

  • Compete all documentation required for the role including time sheets, daily job sheets, prestart inspections, plant usage sheets, quality checklists and hazard IDs

  • Support in the training and development of your crew

We’re looking for someone with:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in Civil construction

  • Minimum full current class 1 licence

  • WTR endorsements

  • A background in retaining structures, formwork, temporary works, civil construction, reinforced concrete, earthworks and road construction

  • Ability to operate a wide range of contracting plant and equipment to a high standard

  • A strong focus on safety, quality and our environment

  • Proven experience in supervising and leading a crews

  • Ability to communicate clear expectations to your team and suppliers, maintaining a strong client focus

  • Accountability for resources, including people management and supply allocation

  • A can-do attitude and the ability to problem solve
