Job Description

Are you ready to lead the LEGO Group business across 5 diverse and highly dynamic countries? We are looking for a commercially minded General Manager to lead the strategic and operational management of the LEGO business across Poland, Ukraine and Baltics (Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania).

Core responsibilities:

  • Drive the growth of today’s ~€350million business by catering to the demands of end consumers as well as of LEGO customers across all channels (hypermarket, drug stores, specialist retailers, LEGO stores, online retailers), in a growing environment that is rapidly changing and highly competitive.

  • Set the strategic direction for the PUB business, by also translating the Group strategy into country specific sales and marketing strategies, including implementation activities.

  • Focus on managing the operational business, including developing the existing and new customer relationships.

  • Financial target achievement (sales, cost and profit) for the business, driving an ambitious growth agenda, whilst maintaining a focus on profitability and credit risk.

  • Lead the digitalization of the consumer journey and growth of e-commerce across the business unit.

  • Deploy the LEGO Groups owned ecosystem, such as LEGO store and LEGO.com

  • Manage a dedicated and growing team of 100+ (75 internal + 35 external) in commercial functions in Warsaw, Kiev and Riga.

The General Manager will be a member of the CEEMEA leadership team, co-managing 100+ markets across geographies such as Africa, Middle East, Central-Eastern Europe and Russia. They will be co-responsible for creating the 3-year strategic cycle, being the driver of various market group-wide transformation projects and accountable for business performance. 

Do you have what it takes?

  • The ideal candidate brings solid General Management experience and a strong track record of driving commercial success.

  • In-depth sales experience in consumer products and/or lifestyle, FMCG, fashion or consumer-focused ecommerce.

  • Experience working in a global context, with demonstrated delivery within Central European markets.

  • Depth of leadership, with consistent experience in building high-performing teams in a B2B and B2C environment.

  • Strong stakeholder management with the ability to build and develop client relationships with distributors, specialist retailers, as well as pure e-commerce players.

  • Digitally savvy with a deep understanding of digital societal transformation of consumers, shoppers and customers.
