As the Talent + Engagement Specialist you’ll join and support the Luxury, Lifestyle and Managed Hotel Talent + Engagement Team, which supports and maintains the Kimpton brand talent attraction, learning and development, performance management, and plays a key role in supporting other essential IHG People and Culture functions such as hotel colleague development programs, colleague engagement, and other special projects. The T&E Specialist is a part of the IHG corporate CMH People and Culture team and will have the opportunity to engage with and support colleagues across each of our hotels and restaurants.
Your Day-To-Day:
Talent Attraction + Colleague Engagement
- Support Talent Team with hotel talent acquisition and recruitment initiatives, partnerships, and programs.
- Support Company Managed Hotel (CMH)-wide and brand-specific recognition programs as needed.
- Support hotel Manager in Training program launch and execution.
- Lead J1 recruitment partnerships and processes to support property J1 recruitment needs.
- Support Talent Team with annual Colleague Heartbeat Survey preparation, launch, access, training and analysis.
- Support as needed the annual IHG Fortune Submission, HRC Corporate Equality Index, or other similar EVP initiatives.
- Produce and/or analyze any relevant reporting requests such as recruitment metrics, colleague engagement, and more.
- Liaise with key vendor partners and manage accompanying systems such as Oracle HCM and ATS, ADP Vantage RM, Reflektive, and Checkr.
- Assist with Kimpton applicant tracking system (ATS) maintenance, training, support tickets, and the transition to new ATS/HRIS in 2026.
- Maintenance of Kimpton Check-In cycle in Reflektive system including quarterly launch/closure, support tickets and access inquiries.
- Other duties as assigned.
Talent Development + Performance
- Conduct needs assessments/instructional analysis and supports training plans as needed; assist in designing both in-house and with expert third parties, solutions which include a blended approach to learning.
- Manage a variety of training and performance management platforms including the launch and integration of a new LMS system, Reflektive, etc.
- Collaborate to maintaining organizational communications such as the People & Culture internal SharePoint, the weekly People & Culture brief, content and delivery of biweekly People & Culture calls, etc.
- Maintain IHG MyLearning system initiatives and function as it relates to company-managed hotels including training of new People & Culture team members, enrollments
- Reporting and tracking for Kimpton / IHG University development and compliance requirements via the LMS and manual reporting.
- Other duties as assigned.
What We Need From You:
- 2 or more years of experience working within a Human Resources role with direct experience in talent attraction/retention, training facilitation and/or training development.
- Experience working in and directly supporting one or more hotel/restaurant properties.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
- Working knowledge of core HR concepts, best practices and legal landscape
- Prior experience with relevant HR systems; ADP Vantage + ATS, Oracle HCM + ATS, Reflektive preferred.
- Ability to assess training/implementation needs and develop a plan accordingly; experience designing and delivering a variety of training solutions
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills; experience managing external vendors and cross-departmental communication
- A strong communicator, both in written and spoken communications
- Articulate and confident in delivering content to large audiences
- Highly motivated, energetic, and creative professional with integrity
- Organized, a self-starter
- Unwavering commitment to on-going quality improvement and excellence
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and function within a dynamic and challenging environment
- Budget management experience a plus
- Some travel may be required.
Location - this role is remote and can be based in any major US city; if ideal candidate is based in Atlanta you may be asked to conduct some business or meet with colleagues in the Atlanta office as needed.
The hourly compensation range for this role is $31.25 to $33.65. This role is also eligible for bonus pay. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401K and other benefits to employees.
