Cybersecurity Specialist

About the Role:

Our Client is seeking a dedicated Cybersecurity Specialist to enhance our security posture and protect our information systems. In this critical role, you will be responsible for implementing and managing security measures, ensuring compliance with regulations, and protecting the organization from cyber threats. You will work collaboratively with various teams to develop and maintain security protocols and incident response strategies while fostering a security-aware culture throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks, and information.
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and risks.
• Respond to security incidents and breaches, conducting post-incident analysis and reporting findings.
• Collaborate with IT and other departments to integrate security practices into all systems and processes.
• Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technology solutions.
• Provide training and awareness programs to employees on cybersecurity best practices.
• Create and maintain documentation related to security policies, procedures, and incident responses.
• Evaluate and implement security tools and technologies to enhance security effectiveness.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with local and international data protection regulations.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity or information security roles.
• Proven experience with security technologies including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, antivirus software, and encryption technologies.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, networking technologies, and operating systems.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as GDPR, ISO 27001, and NIST.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex security issues in a simple manner.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
