JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the VP of Digital & Enterprise Products, Greater China, this role will be the key roles to lead our efforts to drive local capability of Martech and Digital innovation in China, in order to support the strategy of growing forwarding in China.

The Senior Director, Martech Platform & Digital Innovation is responsible for:

  • Martech Technology Landscape Understanding
    •    Have a deep understanding of the local martech technology landscape in China, including key players, market trends, and regulatory requirements, with hands-on experience on the key modules of leading products
    •    Have a deep understanding of martech data requirements, and have hands-on experience in implementing the martech data strategy
    •    Have hands-on experience in working in or with Marketing leadership to formulate Martech strategies and identify most suitable approaches to bring the strategy to life
    •    Build and maintain relationships with martech vendors and industry experts.
  • Martech Platform Strategy and Execution
    •    Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing platform strategy to optimize customer engagement and drive business outcomes.
    •    Effectively communicate the strategy with key stakeholders both in Greater China and on the HQ side
    •    Evaluate, select, and implement key martech platforms in China, starting with foundational research and POC setup
    •    Ensure effective integration and interoperability of martech solutions across the organization.
  • Digital Data Analytics and Insights
    •    Leverage digital data analytics to gain insights into customer behavior, optimize campaigns, and improve decision-making.
    •    By working with Marketing and other disciplines, build and manage data pipelines to collect, clean, and analyze digital and marketing data.
    •    Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate digital data insights into actionable strategies and Digital product optimization recommendations
  • Digital Innovation and Emerging Technologies:
    •    Stay abreast of the latest martech and emerging technologies, including Generative AI for consumer-facing digital scenarios
    •    Identify and explore use cases for Generative AI in marketing, customer engagement, and other areas of interest from the business
    •    Identify and evaluate innovative Digital opportunities that can enhance customer experiences and drive business value.
    •    Lead the development and implementation of proof-of-concepts and pilot projects for new technologies.


CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience 
•    10+ years of experience in data analytics, marketing technology, and innovation.
•    Strong knowledge of Generative AI and its application in marketing.
•    Deep understanding and hands-on experience of leading martech solutions in China.
•    Deep understanding of China market, digital trends, and Chinese customer behavior.
•    Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.  Able to conduct effective strategy discussions with executive leadership
•    Ability to work independently and as part of a team. developing and executing marketing campaigns using Generative AI tools
•    Clear understanding & experience of how an online digital product is delivered. Ability to assess risks and understand high level of effort for stories/tasks 
•    Ability to prioritize with business emergency and consumer needs and analyze, use data to inform decisions. 
•    Ability to solve problems quickly, think creatively, and satisfy Internet speed-to-market requirements
•    Demonstrates self-confidence, energy and enthusiasm, and strong leadership skills in a team environment
•    Self-motivated team player that works well with counterparts from various functions/departments and can influence the work of counterparts without direct reporting accountability
•    Ability to document and communicate project plan and dependencies in both English and Mandarin Chinese 
•    Ability to influence without authority, collaborating with business and cross-functional teams who do not report into this role to get things done. Proficient interpersonal skills, personable yet persistent.
•    Thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, but within a large, complex business.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES 
1.  Martech Platform Strategy and Execution:
•    Develop and execute the overall Martech platform strategy to enhance our digital and marketing capabilities and drive business growth, with a deep understanding of the local Martech landscape in China, including emerging trends, key players, and market dynamics
•    Identify and evaluate key Martech platforms, tools, and vendors in China.
•    Oversee the implementation and integration of Martech solutions, ensuring seamless functionality across various marketing channels.
•    Drive the adoption of Martech platforms and tools, providing training and support to marketing teams.

2.  Digital Data Analytics and Insights:
•    Leverage data analytics to uncover actionable insights, optimize marketing campaigns, and drive data-driven decision-making.
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish KPIs, track performance metrics, and develop reports and dashboards.
•    Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in digital data analytics and implement innovative approaches to enhance marketing effectiveness.

3.  Innovation and Generative AI:
•    Stay abreast of the Generative AI market landscape in China, including technological advancements, startups, and potential partnerships.
•    Lead the exploration and adoption of Generative AI technologies to drive innovation in marketing campaigns, personalized customer experiences, content creation, and other areas where innovation can drive incremental business performance

4.  Leadership and Collaboration:
•    Provide strategic leadership to the Martech and Innovation team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
•    Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including marketing, IT, EA, security, legal, data teams, and Digital Product Owners etc. and Global teams, to align Martech and innovation initiatives with organizational goals.
•    Manage relationships with external vendors, agencies, and technology partners, ensuring effective partnerships and optimal utilization of resources.
