IU Health Arnett in Lafayette, IN, invites you to take the next step in your professional journey as an Assistant Manager of Clinical Operations, supporting the Med Surg Unit. The core schedule of this position is Monday-Friday, day shift, with flexibility to support off-shift team members as needed.

About the Role:
In this essential leadership position, you will work closely with the Unit Manager to drive improvements in quality, safety, patient affordability, and overall experiences for both patients and team members. Your strong foundation in critical care will be beneficial as you lead the execution of innovative action plans and analyze their effectiveness. You will actively participate in an interprofessional team, where collaboration and empowerment are key to achieving excellence in patient and organizational outcomes.

You will play a pivotal role in advancing nursing practice within our unit by advocating for and demonstrating evidence-based practices and professional nursing standards. As part of the leadership team, you will help cultivate an environment where staff feels empowered and motivated to deliver outstanding care, all while maintaining operations 24/7, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of accredited school of nursing. 
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree required. 
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.   
  • Required Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.   
  • Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.   
  • 2+ years of RN experience preferred; Med Surg experience preferred.
  • Previous leadership experience preferred.
