Location: North MOB – Cardiology
Note: No holidays or weekends required

Summary:

This role supports efficient patient flow from entry to destination in a timely, accurate, and professional manner. Responsibilities include gathering financial and demographic data to ensure accurate records for optimal reimbursement and clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule appointments and interview patients to collect medical and insurance information

  • Explain departmental and hospital charges and policies

  • Validate and enter charges into appropriate systems; collect necessary payments

  • Answer incoming calls and direct patients and visitors appropriately

  • Perform faxing and manual charge entry

Qualifications:

  • Required: High School Diploma or GED

  • Preferred:

    • Experience in a healthcare setting

    • Ability to learn and retain medical coding (ICD-10, CPT)

    • Ability to interpret insurance information

    • Knowledge of clinical practices and medical terminology

Technical Skills:

  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
