Your Role at KIK

Quality Assurance Technicians are responsible for analytical and physical testing of products produced within the production facility, monitoring of critical quality systems, reporting and documentation, as well as other general laboratory duties.  Determines necessary steps to address non-compliance; ensure changes to quality standards are implemented. This is a 2nd shift position, 3:30pm-2:00am Monday-Thursday and will require OT as needed. The pay starts at $23.00/hr.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

  •  Inspects, evaluates, documents and records finished goods production.      Ensure that all specified on-line quality checks are being performed properly and on a timely basis.
  • Responsible for documentation of testing, Holding product, internal investigations, and root cause   analysis
  • Responsible for issuing labels to fulfill production requirements in the Production Schedule.
  • Review of production line parameters and performance for adherence to company Standard Operating Procedures, Quality Guidelines and Facility Procedures
  • Responsible for reporting all online inspections and document the findings.
  • Testing Samples for physical and chemical properties for adherence to Quality Specifications 
  • Generating and Shipping samples for outside analytical testing
  • Responsible for laboratory cleanliness and organization
  • Other duties as assigned
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • At least 1 year of quality related experience required
  • Must be Bilingual in Spanish
  • Good organizational skills with proficiency in MS Office programs
  • Basic understanding of wet chemistry techniques (Titrations/Refractive Index, Specific Gravity, Viscosity, pH analysis, etc.)
  • Have a basic understanding of following Standard Operating Procedures
  • Full understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Documentation Practices and Good Laboratory Practices
  • Position is for 2nd shift but must be flexible to work other shifts when required. 
  • Ability to make quick decisions as necessary to qualify plant production standards
  • Multi-task effectively as more than one line runs frequently
  • Full understanding of test methods and Quality control techniques as it pertains to plant quality
  • Ability to lift, carry, stand, climb, bend, squat, and walk safely, as necessary
  • Must be able to work in hot, humid, and cold environment
  • Must be able to work with liquid chlorine and ammonia fumes
