Job Summary
The Sr Analyst – People Data & Governance will be a key member of the People Analytics team that works to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and governance of HR data across various platforms. This includes supporting the implementation of Microsoft Purview for data cataloging and compliance and Microsoft Fabric for unified analytics, in alignment with the company’s data strategy. The Sr Analyst will collaborate with stakeholders in HR and IT to gather and document report requirements, develop data standards, monitor data quality, and integrate Oracle HCM data into the enterprise data governance framework.
Primary Activities and Responsibilities
- Data Quality Management: Lead regular HR data quality audits and assessments on data from Oracle HCM and other HR systems. Identify data issues (duplicates, missing or inconsistent information) and use tools and tests to validate data integrity. Design and execute data quality checks and reconciliation processes, reporting on findings and ensuring issues are addressed.
- Reporting Solutions Design: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and develop report mock-ups (e.g., in Power BI) to visualize and refine reports, ensuring the final analytics products meet business need.
- Data Governance: Assist with the development, implementation, and documentation of data governance frameworks and processes to ensure data quality, consistency, and security across the organization.
- Data Migration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage the migration of data from Oracle HCM to Microsoft Fabric, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and completeness. Gather and analyze business requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and work closely with IT teams to implement solutions that meet business needs.
- Data Cataloging and Metadata: Assist in developing and maintaining an HR data catalog and data taxonomy that documents key data elements (e.g., a glossary of HR data terms, data definitions). Maintain metadata about people data – such as data lineage and data flows – so that stakeholders understand where HR data comes from and how it’s used. This will involve populating Microsoft Purview with HR data assets and ensuring proper classification of sensitive data.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with HR, IT, and other stakeholders to understand data needs, provide insights, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement best practices in data governance and business analysis.
