Roles & responsibilities

We are recruiting for the Associate position in the UK Individual Expatriate Tax team with subject matter expertise in UK Individual Tax Compliance and Payroll Services Industry. Specific experience in building, managing and implementing payroll tax related operations and processes would be advantageous but is not essential.

Working as Associate in this team, your responsibilities will include:

Responsible for preparation of tax computations and hypothetical tax or tax equalization calculations where in scope for employees seconded to/ from the UK, delivering a high-quality service within the agreed time frames. To avail the appropriate credit and mitigate double taxation of income in different jurisdictions. Basic knowledge about UK Domestic and modified payroll and regulations related to these Provide day to day support to Senior Associates and Assistant Managers to assist with the delivery of tax computations and client service. Draft appropriate information requests to gather outstanding data from clients. Draft client correspondence documents (emails, letters, reports etc.) at relevant points throughout the compliance cycle.  Being proactive in owning/managing your client allocation & flexible in working arrangements. Performing other ad hoc tax compliance related activities as and when required. Follow firm’s best practice and policy around the compliance process.

Educational qualifications

Degree from reputable university with excellent academic result, majoring Accounting, Finance or a similar field. CA, ACCA, ACA, ICAI and/or ATT / CTA qualification would be an advantage.

Mandatory  technical & functional skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs, including MS Outlook and Excel Must have strong English communication skills (CEFR Level of B1 or higher). Minimum of 1.5 years of relevant professional experience in UK Individual Expatriate Tax Compliance (i.e. preparing tax computations and hypothetical tax or tax equalization calculations)
