As one of fastest growing practice in DA&S, Infrastructure and Climate Advisory (ICA) team at KGS invites like-minded professionals to help us drive progress and change. At KGS ICA practice, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team across a range of industries to assist public and private sector organizations involved in infrastructure to deliver desired outcomes, whether for society or for businesses. We are the Centre of Excellence for KPMG’s Global practices, helping our clients better understand evolving policy and regulatory environment, business and commercial risks, as well as providing commercial and strategic advice on complex infrastructure and capital projects. You will work on wide range of infrastructure sectors including transport, energy, digital infrastructure as well as social infrastructure, with diverse clientage such as public sector entities, infrastructure owners, project developers, large corporates, contractors, equity investors and financers.

The role will be based out of KPMG’s Mumbai/Gurgaon offices and liaise cross-functionally with leaders across the business to drive internal and external engagement.

Work experience

•Relevant experience (8-12 years) gained in either Corporate roles, Advisory firms, Debt Syndication, Fund-raising, Project Finance, regulatory finance, PPP, Infra SPV’s or similar deal experience in the relevant sector/ propositions (as applicable)

Mandatory technical & functional skills

•Have ability to deal with ambiguity and to put in place frameworks and structure •Have Mentored, Coached, Appraised Junior team members •Develop and review complex infrastructure financial models including PPP/PFI, project finance and regulatory finance models •Be skilled in financial modelling and financial analysis •Have prior experience into project financing, regulatory finance, debt syndication, bond financing, infrastructure deal advisory •Build scenario and sensitivity analyses to evaluate business risks and opportunities.  •Translate business plans into detailed financial forecasts, incorporating market trends and operational metrics.  •Develop and maintain robust financial models to support strategic business planning, budgeting, and forecasting.  •Create integrated three-statement models (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) with dynamic assumptions. •Have prepared infrastructure models from scratch and have significant experience into model reviews •Have practical knowledge of financing structures, particularly debt and equity finance and other types of project-based financing •Have experience of PPP/PFI transactions or exposure of working on one or more infrastructure sector/sub sectors like Power, Transport, Oil & Gas, Aerospace, Property/Estates or Utilities, etc •Have an ability to interpret and present outputs from financial models to support the commercial advice to onshore/client •Have good working knowledge of accounting and financial statements •Financial analysis and interpretation, in particular DCF methods •Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial models with strategic goals.   •Present financial insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders in a clear, actionable format.  •Have commercial awareness •Have strong analytical skills and strong written, communication and presentation skills •Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) •Have creativity in pictorial representation of data, preparing decks for client presentations •Having familiarity with data analysis tools like Python/R/Alteryx and visualization tools like Power BI/Qliksense/Tableau would be an advantage

Roles & responsibilities

As an Associate Director in our team you will be responsible, amongst other things for:

Delivering Client Engagements:•Lead and deliver end-to-end infrastructure modeling projects•Drive and implement the design and structuring the outputs (financial models) and its delivery•Perform lifecycle analysis and forecasting, feasibility analysis, business case and market analysis•Business Development:•Secure additional work for the current engagement or for related opportunities•Support KPMG onshore teams on business development initiatives, including preparation of proposals and expressions of interest•Actively build and manage the relationships and interface with Global KPMG Infrastructure teams and other deal advisory professionals•Expand the portfolio of Global Infrastructure practices that KGS Infrastructure Commercial Advisory services team works with•Practice Development:•Develop growth plan and strategy for Infrastructure Commercial Advisory services•Strengthen existing services and add new services relevant to the market•Create recruitment strategy for Infrastructure Commercial Advisory services•Train and mentor managers and contribute to the overall skills enhancement and experience of the team•Set up processes to manage modelling risks and ensuring KPMG's quality and risk management procedures are completed to the appropriate standard•Pro-actively keeping up to date in your field of profession on a global level•Contributing to thought leadership and knowledge management to support practice development  

Educational qualifications

•MBA / PGDBM from a leading Indian/International educational institution•Professional certifications like CFA/CA would be an advantage #LI-AS2
