Product Design Engineer

Description

We are looking for an Engineering Product Designer to join our team and help us create innovative and user-friendly products. As an Engineering Product Designer, you will be responsible for designing, prototyping, testing and iterating on various aspects of our products, such as user interface, functionality, performance and aesthetics. You will work closely with engineers, product managers, customers and other stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations, and deliver solutions that meet or exceed them. You will also apply your engineering knowledge and skills to ensure that the products are feasible, reliable and cost-effective.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Design and develop innovative products that meet customer needs and market requirements.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, sales, and manufacturing, to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget.
3. Conduct user research, testing, and feedback to validate product concepts and features.
4. Create and maintain product specifications, documentation, and prototypes.
5. Apply engineering principles, best practices, and industry standards to ensure product performance, reliability, and safety.

Requirements

1. A bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial design, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. 2. At least five years of experience in designing and developing furniture and cabinetry products, from concept to production.
2. Proficiency in using CAD software, such as SolidWorks, Inventor, or SketchUp, to create 3D models and technical drawings of furniture and cabinetry products.
3. Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, quality standards, and safety regulations for furniture and cabinetry products.
4. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, marketers, and suppliers, to deliver innovative and cost-effective solutions that meet customer needs and expectations.
5. Creativity, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a passion for creating functional and aesthetically pleasing furniture and cabinetry products.
