Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Finance Specialist to join our team in Baton Rouge, LA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the financial health of our organization by providing financial projections and accounting services, developing financial strategies and supporting local staff.

Responsibilities:

- Monitor all revenue and expenses against budget and make recommendations as necessary.

- Develop and review revenue and expense projections based on YTD actuals and create monthly forecasts.

- Coordinate with Director of Finance and school leaders to develop and monitor annual budgets for all schools.

- Financial oversight of Louisiana schools Extra Curricular Activity accounts.

- Partner with Director of Finance to assist with audit and tax compliance.

- Assist with grant claims and reconciliations.

- Assist with all state compliance and reporting requirement deadlines.

Requirements

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field

- Proven experience as a Finance Specialist or similar role

- Strong knowledge of financial management principles and practices

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and financial software applications
