Pharmacist - PRN

VytlOne is currently recruiting for a compassionate, customer service oriented Pharmacist Per Diem (PRN) for Whatley Health Services Pharmacy, a community healthcare center based retail pharmacy located in Tuscaloosa, AL. In this integrated model, the Pharmacist will work closely with providers and clinic staff collaboratively, providing team-based medicine with a strong pharmacy component to provide optimal care for patients.

Responsibilities

Responsible for performing all of the dispensing duties of a pharmacist, that all customers receive safe and accurate dispensing, and for adhering to all State and Federal Pharmacy laws regarding the dispensing of medications, record keeping, etc. Successful candidate will also be responsible for expanding and enhancing clinical services in the ambulatory care setting including MTM in this position. Pharmacist will precept pharmacy students and residents and serve as a drug information resource to patients and other healthcare professionals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
• Minimum of 2 years of retail pharmacy experience.
• Current licenses in good standing to practice pharmacy in the state of Alabama.
• Ability to supervise pharmacy staff in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
• Knowledge of drugs and their indications, contraindications, dosing, side effects, and proper administration.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
• Knowledge of polices and regulations pertaining to the disbursement of pharmaceutical drugs.
• Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
• Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications.
• Ability to assume essential responsibilities and duties in the absence of the Pharmacy Manager.
