At EnergyCo NSW we are keeping the lights on for NSW. We are spearheading the transition to renewable energy and delivering clean electricity to the people of NSW as coal-fired power stations near closure.

About the Opportunity
Join EnergyCo NSW as a Senior Manager in Project Delivery, where you'll play a key leadership role as the Cost Management lead in our high-performing Project Management Office (PMO). This role is part of a fast-paced and rapidly maturing environment where you’ll drive the development and implementation of robust project control frameworks, uplift capability, enhance governance, and contribute to project control workstreams across assurance, reporting, risk, cost, and schedule.

With oversight over a multi-billion-dollar portfolio of electricity infrastructure projects, your work will enable consistent, integrated reporting and strategic advisory support, helping to “keep the lights on” and influence one of the most significant energy infrastructure initiatives of our generation! This is your opportunity to put your own stamp on this role, tackle complex challenges and make a tangible difference, all while contributing to a collaborative and supportive work culture where people look forward to coming to work!

About You
You are a confident leader with proven experience in PMO and project control environments, ideally within large-scale infrastructure portfolios or programs. With a sharp eye for detail and a passion for structure, you excel at building and implementing project control frameworks, systems and processes You also excel at critical thinking and providing value-adding advice to project teams. You have a knack for preparing and providing high quality reports to decision-makers. You are able to build  strong and productive working relationships both within the organisation and with external stakeholders. If you are someone who thrives when faced with a challenge, can hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment and thinks creatively, we want to hear from you!

Essential Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.

Who we are?
The Energy Corporation of NSW (EnergyCo) is a statutory corporation established under the Energy and Utilities Administration Act 1987 and governed by its Board, appointed by the Minister for Energy.  EnergyCo is a Staff Agency employing all EnergyCo staff and is an agency related to the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW).

EnergyCo plays a pivotal role in the NSW Government’s Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap, which aims to transform the state’s electricity system into one that is cheap, clean, and reliable. As Infrastructure Planner under the Electricity Infrastructure Investment Act 2020, EnergyCo is responsible for leading the delivery of the State’s first five Renewable Energy Zones (REZs) and the first two priority transmission infrastructure projects (PTIPs), which are located in the Central-West Orana, New England, South West, Hunter-Central Coast, and Illawarra regions. We work closely with communities, investors, and industry to investigate, plan, recommend and coordinate generation, storage and network infrastructure projects.
