Job Summary
The person hired for this position will develop and run translational research involving microinjection of novel compounds into the brain of rats and study associated behaviors relevant to psychostimulant use disorders. Furthermore, this position also involves the study of activity dependent gene expression in the brain of rats and will involve dissection, staining, and imaging. It will also involve writing grant proposals and manuscripts.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a PhD or Doctorate in Pharmacology.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience
- Experience in neurochemical assays and rat surgery is required

- Typically bending, crouching, stooping
- Lifting demands ≤ 25lbs

Additional Information
This position is classified as Exempt, grade K. Compensation for this grade ranges from $54,630.00 to $81,940.00 per year. Please note that the offered rate for this position typically aligns with the minimum to midrange of this grade, but it can vary based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
