Description

 The Director of Advancement is responsible for planning, directing, and implementing a comprehensive development, fundraising, marketing and public relations program to support the mission and growth of the agency. This position focuses on building relationships with donors, securing major gifts, oversight of fundraising events and grants and oversee communication strategies to increase community awareness and philanthropic support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and oversee an annual fundraising plan that includes major gifts, grants, corporate sponsorships, events, and planned giving.
  • Lead a Capital Campaign focused on raising funds for Noble’s goal of creating Noble Sports. 
  • Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward individual donors, foundations, and corporate partners[JB1] .
  • Oversee the writing and submission of grant proposals and reports to secure funding from foundations, corporations, and government sources.
  • Oversee fundraising events and campaigns to engage donors and the community.
  • Oversee management of donor database and maintain accurate and confidential donor records.
  • Work closely with the President/Chief Executive Officer, Board of Directors, and key staff to strengthen donor relationships and expand fundraising opportunities.
  • Supervise the development of marketing and communication materials to support fundraising efforts, including donor newsletters, annual reports, and social media content.
  • Represent the agency at community events, networking opportunities, and meetings to promote the mission and build partnerships.
  • Monitor and report on fundraising progress to the President/Chief Executive Officer and Board of Directors.
  • Ensure compliance with all fundraising regulations and ethical standards.
  • Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong relationship-building and networking skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Proficient in donor database management and standard office software.
  • Passion for and understanding of the mission to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, or related work.
  • Proven track record of securing major gifts, grants and capital campaign operation.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Be able to lift boxes, etc. not weighing more than 50lbs.
