Position Objective:
To maintain the repair and safety of the facility to ensure quality and an exceptional experience for
guests. Oversees maintenance and installation of major refrigeration and/or electrical Casino systems.
Hands on work including electrical installation/maintenance/repair, and/or refrigeration
installation/maintenance/repair. Capable of diagnosing and repairing major equipment malfunctions
within the casino. Responsible for oversight and training of lower-level Engineers and fostering a
teamwork environment.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Five years of experience in all aspects of electrical work and/or HVAC service/installation
- Provide a Driving Abstract
- Must have a valid Driver License and Driver’s abstract must not contain any disqualifying events per the NRWC Safe Driver Policy
- Ability to follow through with projects
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Some administrative ability including recordkeeping
- Ability to work without direct supervision
- Possess excellent decision-making skills
- Demonstrates honesty in the workplace
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Current knowledge of occupational safety issues
- Pass NRWC pre-employment testing
- Ability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays
- Ability to obtain a Class III Gaming License
- 2 years of supervisory or equivalent leadership experience in the facilities area
- Reinforces safety procedures for the engineering staff
- Ability to direct, supervise and evaluate work of engineering staff
- Ability to train, coach and instruct other team members.
- Ability to operate Aerial lifts, scissor lifts and forklift.
- Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics
- Computer competency with excel, word, email building automation systems and work order software.
Preferred skills and knowledge:
- Vocational degree in related field
- Excellent guest service skills
- Manual dexterity and fine motor skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Certified Electricians License
- Refrigerant Recovery/Recycling certification
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull while working from ladders and lifts
- Ability to stand or move around continuously for 8 or more hours
- Ability to reach up to a height of 69” while lifting items up to 50 pounds
- Ability to tolerate a smoke-filled environment
ESSENTIAL FUNCATIONS OF THE JOB:
- Understands the operation of the Casino mechanical/electrical/HVAC systems in order to repair/improve them and/or to assist external vendors in diagnosing problems
- Reports to Facilities Manager/ Engineering Supervisor regarding any issues or problems that arise on assigned shift

- Acts as a Senior Engineer, providing guidance and instruction to Engineer levels I & II
- Make suggestions for improvements to procedures and products used in the Facilities Department
- Perform other duties as assigned
