Position Overview:
Bread Alone Recruitment Specialists have a unique opportunity to cultivate cross functional relationships with company leadership while playing a pivotal role in acquiring talent that aligns with the company's vision and goals. They collaborate daily with department managers so that there is a seamless process in identifying hiring and onboarding talent.
The Recruitment Specialist is an experienced problem solver, who navigates new challenges with actionable solutions. They are natural communicators who address obstacles directly with the team. Their daily responsibilities include digital and grassroots recruiting efforts, candidate screening, interviewing, hiring and on-boarding processes for new talent.
The Recruitment Specialist contributes to the company’s evolution by providing cross functional support for the complex nature of their daily work to the best of their ability and capacity. They foster best practices to ensure all new hire paperwork is in compliance with federal and state regulations. They are the first touch point administratively, supporting updates on the HRIS surrounding new hire and onboarding policies and procedures with clear messaging both written and verbal.

Requirements
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties, responsibilities, and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Identify, implement and develop efficient and effective recruiting methods across Bread Alone
- Help to facilitate, implement and develop all phases of the recruitment process including sourcing initiatives that may include networking events, partnering with local organizations and speaking with recruitment sourcing companies
- Collaborate with the hiring manager and the People team to identify hiring needs that are aligned with the company’s people plan and org chart, identifying and helping draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria
- Develop a pipeline of talent for current roles and for future company hiring needs
- Help to ensure the continued stability of staffing levels are met to facilitate a consistent headcount and growth
- Assist with opening and closing job requisitions across the company
- Screen candidates, selecting qualified and interested candidates for the interviewing phase, and then connecting viable candidates with appropriate hiring managers
- Schedule interviews, overseeing preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials
- Assist with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders as needed
- Check candidates references and credentials, verifying experience and background as assigned by hiring managers
- Collaborate with the hiring manager and the people team during the offering and onboarding process to maintain consistent candidate experience
- Facilitate a smooth onboarding process, coordinating with hiring managers, preparing paperwork, and organizing schedules to ensure an exceptional experience
- Participate in the development and use of recruitment objectives including metrics and system updates to the recruitment process
- Communicate recruiting pain points to the necessary departments and support in the resolution by clarifying recruitment concerns and determining the best course of action
- Communicating employee first 90 day pain points with their onboarding experience to the necessary departments and support in the resolution by clarifying employee concerns and determining the best course of action
- Attract candidates by highlighting information surrounding Bread Alone PVC, and Benefits on job ads
- Support new and existing employees by continually relaying information surrounding Bread Alone Purpose, Values & Culture recruitment process, and company benefits during onboarding and when updates are made
- Assist in maintaining physical and digital new hire files for employees (e.g.; I-9, E-Verify, new hire packets, terminations)
- Handle all administrative tasks surrounding recruitment and support onboarding including accurately entering data into HRIS (Paylocity)
- Assist in the communication and interpretation of employee policies and procedures
- Embody the Bread Alone culture by centering on teamwork, empathy, and resilience
- Perform duties safely, efficiently and in accordance with Bread Alone policies
- Complete delegated administrative tasks as assigned in a timely manner.
- Follow Bread Alone safety, GMP, culture, and food safety standards
- Listen and communicate effectively and provide feedback to manager on any recruitment issues and seek support when necessary
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies
Job Requirements:
- At least 2-3 years managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process highly preferred
- Thorough understanding of EEO, ADA, and other related employment laws and guidelines
- Able to sit for long periods of time while executing tasks quickly and accurately
- Able to work in a physically demanding fast-paced environment
- Should have an entrepreneurial spirit able to work with minimum supervision
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence effectively both internally and externally
- Outstanding judgment, problem solving, analytical and organizational skills with the ability to make timely proactive decisions and recommendations
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and balance multiple time sensitive tasks simultaneously
- Able to learn and operate computer applications or other automated systems such as Google suites, Paylocity, Slack, Asana, and other company database software necessary to perform daily tasks
- Respect for and comfort with a diverse and inclusive workplace
- Able to pull, push, move and lift to waist level and carry awkward and shifting weights up to 25 pounds
- Willing to follow all safety guidelines set out by Bread Alone
- Willing to take responsibility for your own and others safety a well as follow safety rules and regulations and report any unsafe conditions to management
- The Bakery is open 365 days a year and team members must be willing to work consistently throughout the year which includes holidays and weekends
Job Type: Full-time, non-exempt
Compensation: Bread Alone is deeply committed to ethically balancing the demands of the business and paying a living wage to all those who contribute to our success. Pay for this position is $20 to $40 per hour.
