Description
Vistra is seeking a Communications Analyst to support Department of Defense clients. The Communications Analyst analyzes, develops, and executes written/visual communication content related to public health and prevention, workforce development, and organizational transformation. Designs creative messaging products with a “storytelling” flair to communicate office priorities/accomplishments, support workforce development, and increase audience/end user adoption of tools/resources. Develops or contributes solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Works independently with some guidance.
This is a position within 50 miles of The Mark Center in Alexandria, VA; onsite participation and attendance will be required.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and developing content for creative media campaigns and “storytelling” products
- Develop and execute strategic communication plans to enhance visibility, audience relevance, and engagement
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, communications, business, or a related field, and 3+ years of directly related experience
- 3+ years of experience in strategic communications, public affairs, or marketing
- Experience working in a military environment or with military personnel
- Experience in a DoD or government public affairs shop creating communication materials for military audiences
- Experience designing and developing content for creative media campaigns and “storytelling” products
- Experience applying change management strategies for organizational transformation and user adoption
- Experience with graphic design, including proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Adobe InDesign or Illustrator
- Ability to develop and execute strategic communication plans to enhance visibility, audience relevance, and engagement
- Ability to provide clear verbal and written communications to a variety of stakeholders in alignment with DoD style expectations
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
- Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly on behalf of a large organization
- Experience with messaging efforts around organizational transformation, workforce development/training, or public health/science communication
